5/28/2008: I like Ike So there we were doing mail order, minding our own business, when the floor collapsed into the sacramento catacombs, being the curious and non-chalant fellows we are we ignored that the office and avis apartment was just destoyed (ironicly not destroyed were all the cds we need to sell that are still on sale!) and began down a dark and foreboding tunnel that lead us a big fucking box of 'up the fixx' promotional cd's. Since the cd has been out for about a year now the point of using a promotional copy for its textbook use is void we have been sticking these in mailboxes, cribs, wedding cakes, the bottom of cereal boxes, potato bins, anywhere we can get our grubby hands on. but i assume people are gona be angry when they get these precious gifts from baby jesus (us) and not appreciate it. So if you truly want one, hunt us down like the dogs we are and ask for one, or like always, if you send us packages of awesome stuff/things/goods we'll send you a package back with one in it, and maybe some other stuff you didnt ask for/want. We always appriciate it when you fine folks proove you exist. GADZOOKS! Look at this awesome thing!!!! The Interwebs tell me that Knowhere Records is, as we vicariously chat through past computer scriblins, working on a Groovie Ghoulies tribute album. Im pretty excited, god speed brave snakecharmers. As mentioned before, we uncovered hidden harlets related treasures in a very arceologicaly adventurous fashion (speaking of, if you didnt like the new Indiana Jones you can go eat a bowl of dicks because Indiana Jones can do whatever he wants and fall into whatever crazy scenario he pleases. That said Shilo Boufe cannot and neither can his Jumanji monkeys.) anyway, we have a fuck-ton of sleeves for up the fix left over, so we donated them to Deputy Danny Sprocket for the release of the first comp on his Label "Fishnuts Records" which concentrates on younger bands in sacramento and the surrounding areas. So Him, Lys Mayo, Nojan, and myself spent a good afternoon fucking up his front yard converting harlets albums to house "bust a nut" so he can get this release out there once and for all. I believe the comp costs around 2 bucks and if you arent a jerk (and your not a jerk are you?) you should check it out and give him an order so he gets too swamped with business to finish school and ruins his future. 5/06/2008: GO!! BANNANAS! Hi! I'm Eoin and now that I've got the codes to this metaphorical missile silo I'm gonna be vandalizing it with all kinds of wacky shit because the era of Avi's terrany is over. Power to the Proletariat! But first something of actual relevance. The Teenage Harlets corpse has finally subsided in stinking up the joint, but it seems most still can not accept that its over. Who knows what kinda of necromancer could come into the fold in the future and resurrect our favorite jerks but for now all we have is the memories, and unfortunately for a lot of us those memories do not include the final show which was 21+. But to sooth our melancholy hearts the Harlets recorded before it all went ka-put and put the worlds best fruit/dance anthem "go!! bananas!" to cd-r, and you can go to the Silver Sprocket myspace and put it on your profile to impress all the most potassium rich fellas/gals. These days, Johnny Dismal is deep in his new projects like Horror X and you're sure to hear of one of Atom's 34,871 other bands sometime very soon. Mark my words outlander. 4/03/2007: Made from molded plastic The PLASTIC shows this past weekend were stellar! The Phenomenauts got to debut a new gadget, The Kitten Cannon, basically a large gun that shoots stuff everywhere (like confetti, glitter, pixie-sticks or whatever we feel like shoving in there). It has been a well-kept secret that many of The Phenomenauts' best ideas are actually stolen from The Teenage Harlets, and the Kitten Cannon is no exception, built strong enough to "launch a kitten through another kitten." We meant to make two of them, but during construction, Atom (The Harlets drummer) accidentally blew one up and may have permanently damaged his hearing in the process. Whoops. K4 took an ass-ton of pictures, most of which I don't understand or remember. Thank-you to everyone who came out for these wacky shows, and thanks to The Phenomenauts, Epoxies, Groovie Ghoulies, Teenage Harlets and Rock N Roll Adventure Kids for making everything so ridiculous and fun!!! 12/08/2006: Wax Tracks A quick reminder before I start this update: Check out our holiday deals! Lots of music is listed to the right, including special low-prices for compilation and Phenomenauts related packages. Our prices are low, the music awesome, and mail-order is getting sent out three times a week, so hurry up and purchase your friend's love for the new year! On to the news: Check out Big D And The Kids Table's website for studio updates as they record their upcoming full-length for our friends at Side One Dummy! The demo's for their new songs are incredible, come March or April when that record comes out, we will all be in for quite a treat. To hold us over until then, their split CD with Brain Failure (from China!) will be released on February 20th on Bad News Records. We are pleased to announce that the vinyl version will be on Springman with a limited pressing of 1,000 on colored wax! More info on that one soon. Thanks to everyone who gave "five-star" ratings to The Phenomenauts music video for "Mission" over at MySpace.com, putting us on their front-page for a week and getting over 110,000 full video views!!! I still can't believe that happened, and would like to welcome all the brand new cadets to this here lovely website. The Phenomenauts have just a few shows booked right now that we will be announcing very soon, but will be back with a very triumphant return in March or April with loads of new material and effects! And hey, with all these new songs, you never know whats just around the space-corner... The Teenage Harlets will be doing a little west-coast tour in January with our idols in The Rock And Roll Adventure Kids! 11/02/2006: News Dump!!! I hope you had a safe and fun Halloween. Things at Springman HQ are BONKERS! The Phenomenauts just announced another round of dates with The Toasters coming up this month! Visit their MySpace page for the details, and check back next week for EVEN MORE shows. The Phenomenauts' Annual Zombie Party was incredible as usual this year, with a surprise appearance by The Teenage HarNuts: Those with a good memory may remember The PhenomeNuts from last-year: Big D And The Kids Table just played two epic Halloween parties in Boston at The Avalon! If you have pictures or video from either show, please post it online for us to share! Big D just got done playing a bunch of shows with The Toasters, I like how they play with our bands on both coasts. Check out Big D on tour with Rancid in December! 3/17/2006: The Teenage Harlets invade SXSW! The following is from the Vice Magazine website: There's these guys called the Teenage Harlets that aren't booked for any SXSW stuff but keep showing up in a van and playing two songs at every event. The van is all hooked up with a PA and amps and all that and they just park in the middle of wherever and start jamming until they get kicked out. They’re like a Hives / New Bomb Turks thing. It was weird when they came to our thing because we thought we were crashing SXSW but then they crashed us so then we became the bad guys.
