So there we were doing mail order, minding our own business, when the floor collapsed into the sacramento catacombs, being the curious and non-chalant fellows we are we ignored that the office and avis apartment was just destoyed (ironicly not destroyed were all the cds we need to sell that are still on sale!) and began down a dark and foreboding tunnel that lead us a big fucking box of 'up the fixx' promotional cd's. Since the cd has been out for about a year now the point of using a promotional copy for its textbook use is void we have been sticking these in mailboxes, cribs, wedding cakes, the bottom of cereal boxes, potato bins, anywhere we can get our grubby hands on. but i assume people are gona be angry when they get these precious gifts from baby jesus (us) and not appreciate it. So if you truly want one, hunt us down like the dogs we are and ask for one, or like always, if you send us packages of awesome stuff/things/goods we'll send you a package back with one in it, and maybe some other stuff you didnt ask for/want. We always appriciate it when you fine folks proove you exist.
GADZOOKS! Look at this awesome thing!!!! The Interwebs tell me that Knowhere Records is, as we vicariously chat through past computer scriblins, working on a Groovie Ghoulies tribute album. Im pretty excited, god speed brave snakecharmers.
As mentioned before, we uncovered hidden harlets related treasures in a very arceologicaly adventurous fashion (speaking of, if you didnt like the new Indiana Jones you can go eat a bowl of dicks because Indiana Jones can do whatever he wants and fall into whatever crazy scenario he pleases. That said Shilo Boufe cannot and neither can his Jumanji monkeys.) anyway, we have a fuck-ton of sleeves for up the fix left over, so we donated them to Deputy Danny Sprocket for the release of the first comp on his Label "Fishnuts Records" which concentrates on younger bands in sacramento and the surrounding areas. So Him, Lys Mayo, Nojan, and myself spent a good afternoon fucking up his front yard converting harlets albums to house "bust a nut" so he can get this release out there once and for all. I believe the comp costs around 2 bucks and if you arent a jerk (and your not a jerk are you?) you should check it out and give him an order so he gets too swamped with business to finish school and ruins his future. Harrass him here But more on that jerk soon.
New features, new albums, new ideas, lots of new projects including one thats gona make my head explode, sales, stickers, shows, crazy schemes, all kinds of new things are afoot and we would be honored if you would join us.
Hi! I'm Eoin and now that I've got the codes to this metaphorical missile silo I'm gonna be vandalizing it with all kinds of wacky shit because the era of Avi's terrany is over. Power to the Proletariat! But first something of actual relevance.
The Teenage Harlets corpse has finally subsided in stinking up the joint, but it seems most still can not accept that its over. Who knows what kinda of necromancer could come into the fold in the future and resurrect our favorite jerks but for now all we have is the memories, and unfortunately for a lot of us those memories do not include the final show which was 21+. But to sooth our melancholy hearts the Harlets recorded before it all went ka-put and put the worlds best fruit/dance anthem "go!! bananas!" to cd-r, and you can go to the Silver Sprocket myspace and put it on your profile to impress all the most potassium rich fellas/gals.
These days, Johnny Dismal is deep in his new projects like Horror X and you're sure to hear of one of Atom's 34,871 other bands sometime very soon. Mark my words outlander.
The Harlets have left a hole in my heart and at least 2 other organs. Thanks for nothing assholes.
Though not a Springman release, the sequel to Punk Rock Holocaust comes out today, featuring the brutal murders of our very own Teenage Harlets and River City Rebels! For more information, check out PunkRockHolocaust.com
Johnny Dismal of the Teenage Harlets unveiled his new solo project, HORROR-X, last night in Sacramento! Dark, creepy, and captivating, with gut wrenching vocals and muddy blues guitars. I don't actually know what all those words mean, but its fucking awesome, there's a myspace page you can listen on.

The PLASTIC shows this past weekend were stellar! The Phenomenauts got to debut a new gadget, The Kitten Cannon, basically a large gun that shoots stuff everywhere (like confetti, glitter, pixie-sticks or whatever we feel like shoving in there). It has been a well-kept secret that many of The Phenomenauts' best ideas are actually stolen from The Teenage Harlets, and the Kitten Cannon is no exception, built strong enough to "launch a kitten through another kitten." We meant to make two of them, but during construction, Atom (The Harlets drummer) accidentally blew one up and may have permanently damaged his hearing in the process. Whoops.
K4 took an ass-ton of pictures, most of which I don't understand or remember.
Thank-you to everyone who came out for these wacky shows, and thanks to The Phenomenauts, Epoxies, Groovie Ghoulies, Teenage Harlets and Rock N Roll Adventure Kids for making everything so ridiculous and fun!!!
Seriously guys, over 10,000 people read this website each week. "Unique Visitors" it says. Meaning, only 0.01% of you post comments. And when you do, it's not about the rock-n-roll, its about nerdy fantasy books. Thanks, really, this experiment with comments is going well. == Springman showcase Friday in Sacramento! With games and prizes! == Saturday in Petaluma! This will also be a video shoot so wear your Sci-Fi best and drink some Sparks in the parking lot!
Hey Mitch Clem fans! Scroll down a bit. == Mail-order is all caught up as of this week! If you're still waiting you'll get yours in a few days. Sorry about that, my severely bashed-up ankle got me way behind on everything. See how pretty it is:
Now hiring: Someone in down-town Sacramento to take these bins of mail-order from my apartment to the post-office! I just tried, and can't carry them down my steps on crutches, even with a skateboard... Fuck.Update: Thanks Evan! == Tera Melos is kicking off their national tour with The Fall Of Troy today! Nick just took a big fat shit in my bathroom and left nasty shit-steaks on the bottom of the toilet bowl, but then Nathan took out my trash so I guess its cool. This will be their first time ever playing the east-coast, so come out and show some love. Immediately after this tour, they'll be playing some more west-coast gigs with The Brilliant Red Lights, who live right across the street. Click the banner below for all the dates!
If you missed out on pre-ordering their 12" EP, or are just impatient, you can listen to the whole thing for free right now on PunkNews.org! Click this art for that shit!
== The first band we ever signed, Shower With Goats (I was 14, stop laughing!), has posted their entire album, Just Another Day, online as a free download. Click here to check that out! I still think it is a great pop-punk record and hope you enjoy it. I still have about 300 of their first 7" stashed away in my mom's garage incase you want one or ten.
== The Teenage Harlets just wrapped up a west-coast mini-tour with our friends in The Rock N Roll Adventure Kids! The Harlets van, with over 300,000 miles experience, did not make it. But will hopefully be fixed soon! == I'm trying to not talk about exciting projects until they are done so you aren't left waiting forever when things get delayed. But golly, some damn exciting things are in the works.
This is an old picture, but still awesome. On 9/16/06 at Bottom Of The Hill, Johnny Dismal of The Teenage Harlets came up to sing a Phenomenauts song! It was pretty ridiculous, he wasn't being a rockstar crowd-surfing, he really was to drunk to stand up by himself.
The Phenomenauts have just a few shows left before they head back into training for their next epic voyage for this Spring and Summer. Sectors being visited this last time around include Petaluma, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, New York City and Oakland:

On to the news:
Check out Big D And The Kids Table's website for studio updates as they record their upcoming full-length for our friends at Side One Dummy! The demo's for their new songs are incredible, come March or April when that record comes out, we will all be in for quite a treat. To hold us over until then, their split CD with Brain Failure (from China!) will be released on February 20th on Bad News Records. We are pleased to announce that the vinyl version will be on Springman with a limited pressing of 1,000 on colored wax! More info on that one soon.
Thanks to everyone who gave "five-star" ratings to The Phenomenauts music video for "Mission" over at MySpace.com, putting us on their front-page for a week and getting over 110,000 full video views!!! I still can't believe that happened, and would like to welcome all the brand new cadets to this here lovely website. The Phenomenauts have just a few shows booked right now that we will be announcing very soon, but will be back with a very triumphant return in March or April with loads of new material and effects! And hey, with all these new songs, you never know whats just around the space-corner...
The Teenage Harlets will be doing a little west-coast tour in January with our idols in The Rock And Roll Adventure Kids! Also in the works is a series of super-sweet split 7"'s that we'll be telling you more about going into 2007.
Tera Melos is doing a shit-load of shows all over the country with The Fall Of Troy! They just got out of the studio too, and if we can get our shit together on time for this tour, well, I'll tell you later, just be excited. Be very excited.
And finally, thank you to TUK Shoes for hooking up The Phenomenauts, Big D And The Kids Table and The River City Rebels! When you see us looking all bad-ass and tall, its TUK's fault.
I just got these pretty red ones:
OK Happy Holidays everyone. I will now go back to filling your mail-orders and finishing my homework (The semester is almost over! I have 60 more pages to write!) -- OH, and if you live in Sacramento and happen to be coming out for KWOD's "Twisted Christmas" concert at the Arco Arena later today (Friday), I will personally be dressed up like that guy from My Chemical Romance and doing some WWE shit that would make Andy Kaufman proud up on stage during The Secretions' set! They play first, so get there early! We will be bringing the real Black Parade. If you don't have $35, don't worry, we'll post it on YouTube. I'm excited about seeing Gnarles Barkley and MCR.
During the last show of The Epoxies' tour with The Damned, team synthetic pulled a Spinal Tap and, well, see for yourself:
Big news (for us at least) in March or April, PLASTIC is going to be huge. You'll know what I'm talking about when you're older.
In other news, happy Thanksgiving! I won't be hungry for at least two weeks, that was awesome. Vegan stuffing is the greatest invention in the history of everything, major props to Thee Merry Widows and Teenage Harlets for being such amazing cooks!
Come back in a few days for some epic holiday mail-order package deals on just about everything, and hot pictures of your sister.
I hope you had a safe and fun Halloween. Things at Springman HQ are BONKERS! Thank you for coming here for your Holiday shopping needs, we have lots of great cheap CDs and we appreciate your keeping our mail-order department super busy.

The Phenomenauts' Annual Zombie Party was incredible as usual this year, with a surprise appearance by The Teenage HarNuts:
Those with a good memory may remember The PhenomeNuts from last-year:
Big D And The Kids Table just played two epic Halloween parties in Boston at The Avalon! If you have pictures or video from either show, please post it online for us to share! Big D just got done playing a bunch of shows with The Toasters, I like how they play with our bands on both coasts. Check out Big D on tour with Rancid in December! Tera Melos just got back from an epic tour with The Fall Of Troy! There is no rest for the awesome, Tera Melos will be recording for an EP CD this weekend. Stay tuned to Tera Melos' myspace page for more news and tour updates.
The Secretions are in the running to play the "Twisted Christmas" show at the Arco Arena in Sacramento! This would be the hugest show they have ever played, and our boys would get to make total asses of My Chemical Romance and Papa Roach. They won't make fun of Gnarls Barkley though. PLEASE!!!! Click here to vote. You have to register with KWOD first, it only takes a minute and if you click the box, they won't send you any annoying e-mails or ever bug you ever again.
Lots of Secretions shows coming up all over CA (and even Reno), visit them on MySpace for show listings and other news updates, and word on Danny Secretions new radio show!
Jason Webley just got back from tour Australia with The Dresden Dolls! Check him out this November touring the West Coast with a full band, including Jherek of The Dead Science and Xiu Xiu. If you attend one of the shows, please draw a unicorn for Jherek and tell him it's from me (Avi). This year's big Seattle show will be on November 11 instead of the usual Halloween! Tour dates and other updates are on Jason's website.
The Teenage Harlets are laying low, having started a big fight with The Phenomenauts over their "Free Angel Nova" t-shirt.. Just kidding! See them on tour all January and February, including a bunch of dates with our secret crushes in The Rock And Roll Adventure Kids! Add them on MySpace if you're fifteen years old.
The River City Rebels just got back from a very strange national fly-away tour of free shows paid for by a big evil cigarette company. I know lots of hippies who smoke, but none smoke independently made cigarettes, so eat a dick. It was a great tour, and debuted a bunch of The Rebels fucking incredible new songs! Stay tuned for more news on that. Listen on their MySpace page!
The Rum Diary has been laying low, but has a brand new drummer and will start playing again next month! Stay tuned for news on that too. And, Big D And The Kids Table has some shows coming up with Rancid (tour dates on myspace)! === It's rare that I'll ask you to vote for something when its up against bands like Pain or Dillinger Four since both Pain and Dillinger Four are such fucking awesome bands, you have no business being on this website if you don't have their records (unless you are using this website to order the Pain records), but I digress, this request is special.
The Teenage Harlets are in the running to be the #1 band this week on PunkRadioCast, a friggen awesome online radio station incase you didn't know. We would GREATLY APPRECIATE if you could click this link below here and then vote for The Teenage Harlets once a day until Sunday. Don't hack it or we get disqualified, just go click it for real. If we win, I'll bring cupcakes to their next bunch of shows, no joke.

Danny Secretion must have been going all-out in the oral-treats department while hanging out at the Sac News And Review office, as his band has finally won a Sammie award for "Best Sacramento Punk Band!"
The Secretions have been nominated for the past fifty straight years without winning once, we were seriously ready to burn the SN&R offices to the ground. We are actually kind of bummed that we don't get to use all these nifty explosives, but congratulations to the Secretions for finally winning what we knew they should have had all along, and to the Sac News And Review for getting it right!
Tera Melos were also nominated in the contest for "Best Metal Band" (yea we know they aren't metal, but since the Melos doesn't really fit in anywhere, its all cool). Nobody called me to say if Tera Melos won anything, but if they did, I'll let you know and we'll have a big taco-party.
And don't forget, THESE BANDS ARE ON TOUR: (clicky clicky click click for dates on their myspace pages since our website is still broken)
The Secretions song Fuckin Zombies can be heard on the AVN Award winning porn Re-Penetrator, which won the award for most outrageous sex scene! Visit the Secretions myspace page for a bunch of tour dates with label-mates The Teenage Harlets.
In other news,

Mail-order update: Springman Mail-order is on hold until June 21st, so for now, visit www.interpunk.com or your favorite online mail-order, and send us an e-mail if there is anything you can't find. We have been a bit slow with mail-order since moving to Sacramento earlier this year, so we are going to make sure it is back to being a well oiled super-fast machine before we bring it back. If you are still waiting on an order for anything other than Pain's Jabberjaw CD, PLEASE send me an e-mail so we can take care of that (and if you're waiting on the Pain disc, we will have them back in stock soon!)
Lots more exciting things are in the works, stay tuned for updates. Come back over the next few days for everyone's updated summer tour dates. And thanks again for all your support!
You probably know them from their extensive touring with Springman bands like The Groovie Ghoulies, Phenomenauts, Secretions, Jason Webley, and their spot on our Space Station stage on the Warped Tour a few years back.. But just incase, check out their page on MySpace.com or read about them right here:
The TEENAGE HARLETS don't play rock & roll -- they play danger. Flying a defiant finger in the face of the San Francisco garage scene since 1999, TEENAGE HARLETS style rock has no tiresome monologs, no politics, no talking, no tuning, no fancy knobs or effects. They play revved up, stripped down, non-stop short attention-span surf-garage-punk-rock-mayhem that will have you singing and dancing while you run for your life. Worried? No need to fear. Thanks to Springman Records and the latest in garage-based recording technology, you can dance along in the relative safety of your own home as the HARLETS tear through 22 songs in 30 minutes on their new record, Up the Fixx, in stores July 11thJuly 25th, 2006.
In other news,
This will probably be the ONLY Groovie Ghoulies show this year: I really don't know what they're thinking letting the Secretions play this family event.
AND, We just updated the Tour Dates page, lots of new shows for the entire Springman family.
The following is from the Vice Magazine website: There's these guys called the Teenage Harlets that aren't booked for any SXSW stuff but keep showing up in a van and playing two songs at every event. The van is all hooked up with a PA and amps and all that and they just park in the middle of wherever and start jamming until they get kicked out. They’re like a Hives / New Bomb Turks thing. It was weird when they came to our thing because we thought we were crashing SXSW but then they crashed us so then we became the bad guys. It was like a Marxist Dialectic where the proletariat became the oppressor and it made us feel like farting. [Permalink]
