I know I always ask for help spreading the word, but this time I really could use it. I've spent a bunch of time and money getting this record sounding right, but now I am way behind on getting the word out about these shows. So, please spread the word! Tell your friends in these cities to come to the shows. Blog about me, put my songs on your myspace page, arrange leaves in the shape of my new album cover at busy intersections, become the editor of your local paper and write an article about the show, hypnotize pigeons and train them to peck the lyrics of my songs in peoples sandwiches. Or, if you would like some cool flyers to give out to your friends, please reply with "street team" in the subject header and your e-mail. 5/06/2007: Dance While The Sky Crashes Down Jason Webley came through 924 Gilman Street in Berkley last night with the best new band I've discovered all year, Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band.Being Cinco De Mayo, Jason decided we needed a purple dinosaur piñata.   Instead of candy, it was filled with Ramen, toilet paper, melted popsicles, and pancake mix (since the convenience store had no flour). 1/24/2007: Interviews, PBS, and some nerdy shit I just found some fun interviews with a whole bunch of our bands over at Sound Scene Revolution. For your listening pleasure and entertainment, listen to their chats with The Phenomenauts, Tera Melos and Jason Webley. Their other interviews are pretty kick-ass too with a ton of my favorite bands, this website will keep me from being at all productive for the rest of this week== I talked to someone at PBS months ago about YouTube. It looks like they just pulled a quote from that conversation for a blog post about the future of the music industry on their "MediaShift" website. Not terribly exciting, but my parents will be happy to see my name on PBS. == This isn't punk rock at all, but my favorite book series of recent memory, the Song Of Ice And Fire cycle by George RR Martin, is being turned into a TV series by HBO and I am way super excited in the nerdy'est way possible. Read that shit if you want something way better than that Lord Of The Rings total bullshit. Start with "A Game Of Thrones" which is $3.99 on Amazon.com and everywhere else with the latest printing. 11/02/2006: News Dump!!! I hope you had a safe and fun Halloween. Things at Springman HQ are BONKERS! The Phenomenauts just announced another round of dates with The Toasters coming up this month! Visit their MySpace page for the details, and check back next week for EVEN MORE shows. The Phenomenauts' Annual Zombie Party was incredible as usual this year, with a surprise appearance by The Teenage HarNuts:  Those with a good memory may remember The PhenomeNuts from last-year:  Big D And The Kids Table just played two epic Halloween parties in Boston at The Avalon! If you have pictures or video from either show, please post it online for us to share! Big D just got done playing a bunch of shows with The Toasters, I like how they play with our bands on both coasts. Check out Big D on tour with Rancid in December! Visit Big D on Myspace for tour updates. The Groovie Ghoulies are almost done with their own Cramps tour, including their own Halloween show at The Fillmore in San Francisco! There is no rest for the awesome, Tera Melos will be recording for an EP CD this weekend. Three songs, it will be about 30 minutes, I guess that's an EP? They played almost all new songs on this Fall Of Troy tour, if you caught any of the sets, you ARE EXTREMELY EXCITED about these upcoming recordings. Stay tuned to Tera Melos' myspace page for more news and tour updates. The Secretions are in the running to play the "Twisted Christmas" show at the Arco Arena in Sacramento! This would be the hugest show they have ever played, and our boys would get to make total asses of My Chemical Romance and Papa Roach. They won't make fun of Gnarls Barkley though. PLEASE!!!! 5/22/2006: Its time for a Springman website update! *I'm on tour with The Phenomenauts and The Epoxies! This tour will run until June 18th all over the country, so come visit me at the merch table.*Big D And The Kids Table will be out with Catch 22 co-headlining the Summer Of Ska Tour! *Tera Melos has some west-coast shows lined up, then guitarist Nick will be making a movie over this summer. *The Teenage Harlets are going on tour this summer all over the country too, including a bunch of dates with The Secretions! The new Teenage Harlets CD, Up The Fixx comes out July 25th! *Jason Webley is always playing shows everywhere, and has a brand new limited edition "Super 7 Inch" project coming out on 11/11 that you can read more about on his website! *We are re-printing Pain's Jabberjaw CD with all new artwork, look out for it next month! *The Secretion's new CD, Coming To Save The World, along with the latest Pain re-issue, Full Speed Ahead, will be in stores on 6/6/06!
