Make your best Silver Sprocket related Jack O'Lantern and win some candy! Seriously, it's against the post-office rules to send sweets by mail AND WE DON'T EVEN CARE!
Here's a Phenomenauts pumpkin from Erica Henderson, with real Morse code!
Speaking of Halloween, check out the Secretions looking all dead like The Ramones from their recent trip to Portland!
Our distributor is closing their Sacramento warehouse, which left us having to find a new home for 30,000+ CDs. On a break from loading boxes into my car, Mickie from the Secretions taught Eoin and Vince how to break 12" LPs on their faces.
It's hard to see the pieces falling on the Youtube video, but they shatter.
Kepi, formerly of The Groovie Ghoulies, performing "Fun In The Dark" with The Phenomenauts! Kepi looks mighty dashing in his Officer Jacket. Thanks to Hans for the video from The Phoenix Theatre, September 22, 2007.
Just kidding, we don't sign bands, we just jump them into our bicycle gang.
For your own good, check out ASHTRAY, from Santa Rosa, CA. Trust me on this one. Loud, fast, obnoxious and fun. They like old crusty bands like BLATZ and FILTH.
Click "play" to hear one of my favorite songs, "Punk Rock Candy Mountain"!!! From the The Rock n Roll Three-way CD!
The most fun I've had going to punk shows over the past two years has been at ASHTRAY shows. I wish I had some better pictures of them, but I'm always to busy going nuts to take any good ones, so these are from Liz.
Be friends with Ashtray on MySpace if you're into that sort of thing. While you're at it, be friends with us too! Pay attention for an Ashtray full-length in 2008.
Please join me in welcoming the newest member to the Springman / Silver Sprocket team: Pelouze!
I rode past some friends while carrying Pelouze in my bicycle basket earlier, and everyone asked what kind of drugs I was selling. As if a scale of this type is accurate enough to sell drugs with!
With Pelouze's help, the next few days will be spent updating our website to charge you more accurate amounts for shipping. This includes international rates, so you don't have to click any low-tech funky "extra postage" bullshit anymore. Most of these updates should be working now, but please let us know if you see something not working right or have any questions. We will start printing our own postage soon, and Pelouze will send you e-mails with tracking information! We're coming for you Amazon.com. Why the fuck did it take this long for us to get a postal scale? It's ok, we're beautiful.

October 2007 marks the 50th anniversary of Sputnik-1. The momentous launch was far from being part of a well-planned strategy to demonstrate communist superiority over the West. Instead, the first artificial satellite in space was a spur-of-the-moment gamble driven by the dream of one scientist, whose team scrounged a rocket, slapped together a satellite and persuaded the Kremlin to open the space age. -A.P.
The Phenomenauts are commemorating this turning point in human civilization by unveiling our Latest flagship, The P.S.S. Hawking Cruiser. The maiden voyage on this months Western U.S. Tour will re-open the space age. (special 'Sputnik Mission' badge available at these shows.)

You have no business spending time on our website if you don't own all of the Bouncing Souls records, they are one of the most important and consistently incredible bands of our generation. Greg Attonito and his wife Shanti Wintergate played a mind-numbingly awesome acoustic set last Friday at The True Love Coffee Shop in Sacramento. Here is a WAV of them performing "The Something Special": [3.5MB]
Greg and Shanti are on tour doing readings from their self-released childrens book, I Went For a Walk. This has nothing to do with Silver Sprocket, though Danny Secretion set it up. We just thought you should know.
Lots of updates and more stuff later. Come back Wednesday if you're brave, it isn't often that you find a Phenomenaut out of uniform.

I got to tour with The Epoxies last year, and was constantly asking "Who is this?" about the incredible music they'd play by band's I'd never heard before.
Photo by josheesh With such a bad-ass punk/disco/new-wave sound, you know they have some stellar inspiration to draw on. I asked Roxy, the interpretive-spastic-dancing-queen and lead-singer, if she'd make a podcast for me with some of her favorite bands.
Click here to show the track-listing, but surprise yourself and listen to the whole thing first! This MP3 will stay up for a week, or until our server dies.

I've just finished my first full-length album in almost four years. It is the tightest, rockin'est thing I've ever worked on and I'm kicking off the release with a big tour with my full band.
This is the cover of the record. I'll be putting up some of the music shortly.

It is going to be a great tour. I am being joined by Jherek Bischoff, Michael McQuilken and L. Aex Guy. They all played on the new record and are completely amazing and will be playing short solo sets of their own material at most of these shows.
I know I always ask for help spreading the word, but this time I really could use it. I've spent a bunch of time and money getting this record sounding right, but now I am way behind on getting the word out about these shows.
So, please spread the word! Tell your friends in these cities to come to the shows. Blog about me, put my songs on your myspace page, arrange leaves in the shape of my new album cover at busy intersections, become the editor of your local paper and write an article about the show, hypnotize pigeons and train them to peck the lyrics of my songs in peoples sandwiches.
Or, if you would like some cool flyers to give out to your friends, please reply with "street team" in the subject header and your e-mail. Let me know what city you are in and I will forward you some .pdf files. You can also send a message to: info@jasonwebley.com.
If you'd REALLY like to help totally plaster your town with flyers, please write me and I can try to get you free tickets to a show in exchange.
Ok, That is all for now. I am really excited about this album and this tour.
Silver Sprocket is a bicycle club, not a record label. We like punk rock, beer, sin, and robots.
