Nine-way split CD featuring hella tight exclusive recordings from some of my favorite local bands: Bridges, Identical Homes, Calling All Monsters, Shinobu, Brilliant Red Lights, Teenage Harlets, Pteradon (ex November Trials), Tera Melos, and Worker Bee. Limited hand-numbered pressing of 1,000.
Kepi from The Groovie Ghoulies will be on NPR Sacramento (88.9FM) today at 2pm pacific time talking about (what else does he know?) punk rock! You can listen online right here. === The Phenomenauts are on a national tour right now with Left Alone, then The River City Rebels and The Teenage Harlets (tour dates on myspace)! And, Big D And The Kids Table has some shows coming up with Rancid (tour dates on myspace)! === It's rare that I'll ask you to vote for something when its up against bands like Pain or Dillinger Four since both Pain and Dillinger Four are such fucking awesome bands, you have no business being on this website if you don't have their records (unless you are using this website to order the Pain records), but I digress, this request is special.
The Teenage Harlets are in the running to be the #1 band this week on PunkRadioCast, a friggen awesome online radio station incase you didn't know. We would GREATLY APPRECIATE if you could click this link below here and then vote for The Teenage Harlets once a day until Sunday. Don't hack it or we get disqualified, just go click it for real. If we win, I'll bring cupcakes to their next bunch of shows, no joke.
And if you live within six hours of San Francisco, come to their CD release show on Friday at The Covered WagonAnnie's Social Club, with the Secretions, Thee Merry Widows, Rock And Roll Adventure Kids, and Flexx Bronco! I'll be there, the drunk obnoxious one that isn't Johnny.
I got the new Shinobu CD, Worstward Ho! in the mail from Asian Man Records today. It kicks ass, go buy it for just $8 including postage! You can also get their previous CD, Herostratus Vs. Time released on Lets Go! Records, right here from Springman mail-order.

Check out the un-edited music video for Rise Against's single, Ready To Fall. It is pretty disturbing, most of it was banned from MTV:
Rise Against was the highlight of my Warped Tour experience this year (along with The Bouncing Souls), I love this band so fucking hard. Be sure to get their last album, Siren Songs Of The Counter Culture, it has been stuck on repeat in my apartment for the better part of the last two years. Their new album is really good to, but Siren Songs is just fucking epic. I talked to Tim backstage after their set and felt like a little school-girl, rambling about how great they were, even though we've known each other for years and have even worked together a while back on our Pounded comic-book soundtrack CD.. nerd nerd nerd. Go Vegan.

What do the following totally fucking amazing local bands have in common? {{{Bridges, Identical Homes, Calling All Monsters, Shinobu, Brilliant Red Lights, Teenage Harlets, Pteradon, Tera Melos, Worker Bee}} Other than being bands you absolutely need to know.. Well, I'll tell you next week. It's going to blow your pants right off!
Check out Jason Webley on tour in Australia and New Zeland with THE DRESDEN DOLLS this September! Visit his website for the details on that, more upcoming USA touring, and the 2nd in his series of Super Seven-Inches limited to 1,111 each and available now for mail-order!
Speaking of Jason Webley, I just got back from Seattle! It was a blast, and we got to watch The River City Rebels and drink with The Briefs.
If you're in Seattle and get hungry, check out what Jason Webley refers to as The best dumplings in the world at The Szechuan Noodle Bowl (420 8th Ave S on the corner of Jackson). We spent less than $5 each and were totally stuffed off their yummy awesomeness.
Check out the latest PodCast from TopWelt on their MySpace page, featuring an interview with yours-truly along with Big D And The Kids Table! The show basically turned into the Springman episode with nearly exclusive content from our bands, and a contest where five winners get a free Springman Records shirt. And for the record I really like Fall Out Boy a lot and have even been known to get cut off at Kareoke bars for doing to good of a job on that "Sugar, we're going down swinging" song where you can't tell what the hell he's saying, but that's just because I love them so much and was just kind of drunk when this interview took place. Here is a direct link to the big fat MP3 file of the entire hour-long show.
